Liturgy of the hours
Taking inspiration from an interesting talk of rev. Francesco Vecchi on singing the Liturgy of the hours in italian language, I decided to try to give some support for a possible use of the guitar.
Rev. Francesco shared the material here transcribed in the diocesan web page dedicated to the available material, you can find clicking the first link of the Liturgia delle ore paragraph.
Remark: when I wrote the rows above, I hadn't known him personally rev. Francesco. Now that I have had this luck, I can understand the deepness of his research, the research for a new language with ancient roots, a research driven by the idea that the sacred music is still alive and can renew itself and reach new strength. I am grateful and thankful to him for this.
Again by rev. Francesco, I point out this very interesting little volume which analyzes and describes how the Italian hymns for the Liturgy of the Hours were born. It can be easily found online.
