Ruaro

Born in Pievebelvicino (VI) in 1956, diocesan priest, obtained his classical guitar diploma at the "J. Tomadini" Conservatory of Music in Udine.

He teaches in the seminary and he is director of the Diocesan Office for Liturgy in Vicenza, with the task of taking care of the musical sector, and particularly following the training and animation of the youth choirs. He wrote many liturgical chants published by LDC, Torino and GC Records , Vicenza, he partecipates in activity of "Universa laus" and cooperates with the "Musica e assemblea" magazine.

I took the short biography appearing on the back cover of "Chitarra e liturgia" EDB, a fundamental text for everybody who wants to play guitar for liturgical chants accompainment.

I still have not had the opportunity to meet Msgr Ruaro nor to attend some of his summer course with Universa laus, but all my little work is strongly influenced by him, starting from the name of this site that I have (inadvertently) stolen from his book aforementioned.

To him I owe, for the materials he produced, that I use regularly, and for the teaching I had taken from his books and from his scores.
